Kaushik Natekar is a competent professional with over 18 years of experience in the Maritime Industry, and has been sailing for 8 years. Currently, Kaushik is working with United Arab Shipping Company Limited – Hapag Lloyd Group as a Senior Manager. His ship carries containers worldwide, and he leads a team of 6 people, 2 supervisors, and 2 builders, managing along the way, covering maintenance issues, giving guidance, resolving problems.

Kaushik was prompted to get involved in the shipbuilding by way of natural progression, starting as a mechanical engineer back in the 1900, transitioning natural wanting to do something different, Kaushik has family in the same field as well, all of this has played a part in his professional development. His key area of expertise is innovating & implementing cost saving measures to achieve substantial reduction in cost and troubleshooting.

He holds an Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering and does public speaking on a case-by-case basis as part of the job, keeping everyone up to date. Kaushik has received many verbal recognitions for his work over the years. In the next few years Kaushik plans to continue to grow, continue to develop and continue to make a difference in his career. He bases his success on dedication and passion, and is very proud of how far he has come in his career and where he is headed.
