The Worldwide Women’s Association Recognizes Ashi Chabeda
Ashi Chabeda is Nurse Practitioner at OptiMed. With nearly three decades of experience in healthcare, she is passionate about her work and credits her success to dedication, drive and perseverance.
Ashi says she realized that to obtain a strong financial foundation and work towards her goal of wealth building for herself and her family it was necessary to add her dormant business degree. She got licensed as a financial service professional last year, and sees similarities in service between her healthcare profession and financial services profession. She finds that her foundation in the Nursing process; Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation serves her well in her role as a financial professional.
Her most enjoyable role as a healthcare provider is patient education, which led her the financial literacy component being most fulfilling aspect of the services she provides. There is a saying, “Educate a girl, educate a nation.” As a woman and a mother, she understands how important financial literacy is not just for herself and her children, but to other women as well. Women play an important role in the lives of those around them. Ashi believes that as a mother giving her children a strong financial education will help them to leverage that knowledge to build financial success. Their ability to build wealth will give them the time freedom they need to pursue their dreams and live purposeful and productive lives. Ashi’s desire is to help others build a stable financial foundation through financial literacy.
The dream to serve in developing countries has been the key driver of Ashi’s pursuit of an advance degree in Nursing. She has been in healthcare for almost three decades. She looks forward to connecting, collaborating, and serving with like-minded female professionals.
