The Worldwide Women’s Association Recognizes Angelique Regnier-Golanov
Dr. Angelique Regnier-Golanov is a researcher in the Department of Neurosurgery at Houston Methodist Hospital. Specialized in neurophysiology, she is experienced in clinical and preclinical studies and focuses her work on the central and peripheral neuronal system (CNS & PNS), and general medicine. Her multifaceted experience ranges from the molecular level to the whole organism, and has encompassed hemorrhagic & ischemic stroke, brain injury & neurodegenerative disorders, child epilepsy and seizure disorders (mTOROpathy, Angelman’s syndrome, temporal lobe epilepsy), glioblastomas, traumatic brain injury, sepsis, and diabetes.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the Caen University (Normandy), Angelique went on to complete an Advanced Diploma in Nutrition and Energy Metabolism and a PhD in Neurophysiology from the Paris 7 University (Denis Diderot). Committed to professional growth and development, she is currently studying toward an additional master’s degree in Clinical Translation Management from the University of St. Thomas.
A skilled instructor, Angelique also teaches at the hospital. Prior to joining Houston Methodist, she was a postdoctoral research associate at Jan & Dan Duncan NRI/Baylor College of Medicine, and also served as Visiting Research Scientist at The Feinstein Institute.
