Annella Mendoza: Business Analyst for DAM, DAM Consultant, Librarian, and Archivist


Annella Mendoza is a seasoned Digital and Media Asset Management practitioner for DAM and MAM, as well as a DAM Consultant and Business Analyst, Librarian, and Archivist. She specializes in:
(1) Identifying business processes, workflows, and governance for DAM
(2) organizing and managing digital asset collections.

With a robust background in establishing governance for asset submission, metadata and taxonomy development, and terms of access to DAM assets, Annella has fostered inter-departmental collaboration with creative teams, IT staff, and management stakeholders.

As a team leader in digital library and archives, Annella prioritizes client service and archive promotion, making DAM and Media Asset Management (MAM) work relevant and effective. She has developed a professional staff and trained DAM and MAM users to ensure the systems are used effectively, achieving high levels of client satisfaction. Recently, Annella has earned various DAM certificates, including those in Metadata Management, Digital Asset Supply Chain for Marketers, and DAM and the Enterprise.

As a Media Asset Management specialist, Annella was the overseer of The Weather Network’s MAM systems for nine years. In this role, she promoted the use of the network’s MAM systems and instilled a collective responsibility among its users, significantly enhancing its effectiveness.

Annella’s experience across various work settings has enabled her to work independently as well as organize a DAM Team for an organization’s users, stakeholders, and IT support. She can also manage a team of digital archivists and librarians to ensure the long-term preservation, security and use of the designated high-value digital assets.
