21-25 Years
Marie Hopkins is the founder and Managing Director at MNH Leadership Solutions Ltd, which provides consultancy services for the health and social care industry across the UK.
With over 25 years of health and social care experience Marie is highly regarded with a wealth of knowledge and experience in her chosen field. During the past 16 years Marie has held a number of director roles, including director of finance, and has been a board member.
Marie is expert at turning around independent health and social care businesses that are experiencing serious difficulties, due to poor reputation and service delivery, or they lack leadership and/or management capability. Marie has a proven track record in achieving effective change and transition, and for improving quality standards and overall confidence.
As a trained expert witness Marie also provides investigatory services to local authorities, an independent health and social care providers, particular where safeguarding matters are concerned.
Business growth and service development has always provided a key focus within any area Marie has worked in, both within the public, private and third sector service areas.
In 2002 Marie was elected as the National President of the Social Care Association, and she worked diligently for 12 months as chairperson of the board of directors. Marie actively represented the Association on the parliamentary committee that was focused on the regulation of care, and professionalising the social care workforce; she occasionally supported the Association by acting as the conference or workshop chairperson when they were commissioned to organise national conferences by the Department of Health.
Marie has pursued a career where she can help others. In doing so Marie has been privileged to work with both adults and children who have been psychologically and physically traumatised, experienced poor mental health and/or experienced a range of other disabilities, including life limiting conditions and intellectual challenges. Marie finds great reward in achieving success through enabling others to maximise their personal potential and/or goals; regardless of whether they are consumers of the service, people paid to do a job or people who volunteer.
In order to give something back to her community Marie is a volunteer board member (Trustee) with a local Housing Association focussed on working with young people, and ex offenders, who have experienced homelessness.
Marie is eager to to make new connections and possibly work with other females.
