I have a deep passion for social work, rooted in the values of servant leadership, diversity, equity, and inclusion. My commitment to the health and well-being of the communities I serve is unwavering.
Over the past 20 years in the mental health sector, I have held various roles, including leadership, direct service, consultant, and strategist. My experience spans a comprehensive range of mental health services, including Adult IOP, Adult OP, Child and Family Programs (clinic-based and school-based across seven school districts and over 40 schools), lifespan services, geriatric programs with a focus on memory care programming, houseless and housing instability programs, psychiatric services, low-intensity medication management, crisis line programs, emergency shelter programs, transitional housing programs, youth housing, at-risk youth, and much more.
With over ten years of experience in the aging and long-term care field honing my medical social work skills, I have developed a profound passion for working with families impacted by memory care concerns, dealing with end-of-life issues, and coping with life adjustments. I have facilitated support groups around these topics, providing compassionate guidance and fostering a sense of community.
In my years working in the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention community, I have served in roles such as director, manager, and advocate. My strong passion for eradicating violence and creating equitable access to resources and inclusive spaces for survivors has driven my work. I also served as a Board Member with the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
I have received the Community Partner of the Year, Woman of the Year, Everyday Leader and Scout Spirit awards. Additionally, I volunteer with the Whatcom Community College Advisory Committee in Behavioral Health and SUDP Disciplines, continuing my commitment to community service and advocacy.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated exceptional leadership, flexibility, and a commitment to improving service delivery and outcomes across various settings. I am passionate about social work and dedicated to the health and well-being of the communities I serve.
