Tsipi Ben-Haim is the Founder, Executive, & Creative Director of CITYarts, Inc., a public art non-profit organization based in NYC that she started 35 years ago. Tsipi is largely responsible for the success of over 380 public art projects in public parks, schools, and underserved neighborhoods throughout NYC and beyond. After the tragic events of 9/11, Tsipi designed the program CITYarts Young Minds Build Bridges, under which the CITYarts Pieces for Peace project runs workshops nationally and internationally. So far, CITYarts has facilitated workshops for youth in 124 countries. Following the pandemic years, Tsipi realized that our youth need hope in the future. To serve this need, she created the CITYarts 50 States of Peace initiative. This mural is the 4th Peace Wall created as part of that initiative. Tsipi holds a B.A. from Tel-Aviv University, a Master’s degree from New York University, and studied English Language at Columbia University. Tsipi is an accomplished poet, writer, curator, public speaker, and art critic who has organized several exhibitions, including the international CITYarts Pieces for Peace exhibition, which has been installed at the UN headquarters in NY and Geneva, is currently in Vienna, Austria with its next display in Warsaw, Poland and plans to reach all 193 UN countries.
