Agnes Semey-Akorli: Payroll Adminstrator position at Regina Immigrant Women Centre

Regina, SK, Canada – Agnes Semey-Akorli brings extensive experience in accounting and payroll administration to her role as an Administrative Assistant at Adecco. With a keen attention to detail, Agnes has a proven track record in various financial and administrative roles.

Agnes served as an Assistant Accountant/Finance Officer, managing the hospital revenue department for eight years. Since September 2022, she has been a Workforce Specialist/Payroll Administrator for a not-for-profit organization, where she was promoted to Payroll Administrator. In this role, she oversees payroll and benefits administration for over 60 employees.

Her diverse experience includes positions as an Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper, Customer Service Representative, Keyholder, Cashier, Store Associate/Clerk, and Ticket Agent. Agnes is also a registered Staff Nurse, having practiced from 1998 to 2012.

Education and Certifications

Agnes holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, awarded with distinction in December 2022. She also has a Diploma in Accounting, a Higher National Diploma in Accountancy, and is part-qualified with the Association for Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) Part 2. Additionally, she holds a Diploma in Business Management and a Certificate in Microsoft Office. Her nursing background includes State Registered Nursing.

Community Involvement

Agnes is dedicated to promoting African culture in her community. She organized a group of interested Africans in Regina, SK, Canada, to learn traditional drumming and dancing. The group performed at the Ghana Independence Celebration on March 16, 2024, and received invitations to perform at a convention on April 25, 2024, and the MOSAIC Celebration of Cultural Festival from May 31 to June 1, 2024.

Agnes is eager to continue her professional growth and contribute to the success of Adecco while fostering cultural enrichment in her community.
